Cortez Construction Ltd. constructs buildings, bridges, reservoirs, dams, retaining walls and all other manner of unique and challenging rehabilitation projects anywhere throughout BC and Alberta.
Cortez takes projects from concept to completion. Whether it is the Riverside Coliseum in Kamloops — where we formed 6,500 cubic meters of concrete into structural support and cast seating — or the R.C.M.P. office and lock-up in Nakusp, we take architectural drawings to final completion on budget.
We believe in integrity and honesty. Our professionals construct buildings to work without structural or functional problems. Cortez’ scope of work has included a wide variety of construction. We value the smaller commercial buildings equally with the multi-million dollar projects.
Cortez’ quality buildings are constructed to work well and to last.
We are specialists in heavy concrete construction, bridging highways and logging roads, and building innovative projects such as sewer lift systems and ferry ramps.
Cortez Construction Ltd. has built new bridges or reconstructed aging ones across some of the most challenging terrain in British Columbia. At Savona, our bridge is 334 meters long and its columns and girders are up to 30 meters high.
Our innovative technology is demonstrated by techniques like saw-cutting the old concrete and lifting off the 56 meter Kitseguecla Bridge deck near Hazelton before resurfacing, and by the use of hydraulic water pressure to strip the B.C. Lotto parkade before reconstruction.
“We are specialists in heavy concrete construction.”
